6 Different Facebook Ad Types

Have you ever wondered what are the Facebook ad types that you should be running to grow your home business?

If you dig into the Ads Manager on Facebook, you’re gonna find a TON of different objectives (Facebook ad types). Which ones should you run?

I’ve been working on my fan page over the last 3 months very consistently, as of the writing of this blog post.

Considering the amount of ads objectives, you don’t need to run ALL of them. In fact, there are only 6 Facebook ad types, which I talk about in this article and video below.

They’re doing a lot of hard work, but forget about creating leverage – having people come to YOU asking about your business.

If you are building up a Facebook fan page, paid advertising is simply a must. It’s truly a pay-to-play structure. Without investing into paid advertising don’t even bother with building up JUST a fan page. Go with the profile, and keep the fan page on the back end. However, if you’re serious about your long term asset, DO invest into your Facebook fan page.

The very first Facebook ad that you should be running every single day is the Likes Ad Campaign (or Promote Your Page – that’s the way it’s called at the moment in the Ads Manager). Bringing in people into your fan page for free is possible, but it takes time, and it’s not very consistent. With the Likes Ad you are able to bring in anywhere between 10-15 people with a very low ad budget. I’m personally spending around 7 dollars every day on a Likes Ad, and it’s enough for the start.

But guess what? It’s pure leverage! If you bring in 300-450 NEW people to your page, who see YOUR face, YOUR content and YOUR offers, do you think you can build a successful business? Do you think you will have enough people to talk to? The answer is a big fat YES! No excuses!

The second type of Facebook ad to run is Boosted or Promoted posts. When you build up an audience, you gotta create content for that audience. That’s one of the best ways to build relationships with them and warm them up. However, you have to be very strategic about boosted posts. Don’t boost your selfie or any piece of content that doesn’t have a Call to Action. Your goal is to generate leads or to sell something.

I did 2 different Facebook ad types when it comes to boosting my content. The first one is when I have a link to a capture page – this is my lead generation type of ad. And the second ad I ran has been to bring engagement – to have people comment on that post. Both ways work, as long as you ask people to take action!
