Instagram has become very popular in the past couple of years, and a lot of people started to use it for their personal use, but not for the business purposes, which is why it is the right time for you to jump over to Instagram and make it one of your marketing strategies.
You may be asking – how do I use Instagram, since it is just an image sharing Social Media? Stay tuned, because I’m gonna share with you 5 tips that you should be following in order to generate more leads and build your business using Instagram.
But before I do that, here’s some brief info about why Instagram is HOT for your business right now!!
- You can post Pictures and Videos, which is cool because people are more visual
- Over 300 Million active users as of December 2014
- 70 of Instagram users login at least once a day
- 200 Billion posts
- 60 Million photos are shared every day

Right now that you know the statistics, it is clear that Instagram’s audience is HUGE. There is so much potential for you to market over there. So let’s dive into 3 Steps on How to Use Instagram to Grow Your Business:
Number #1: Create a captivating Bio.
This is critical if you wanna market on Instagram. Your bio is your real estate. If you don’t use it correctly, you most likely will not attract many leads. The Bio should contain no more than 150 characters, so you need to make it short and sweet. Make 2 or 3 bullet points, and the most important thing is CTA (Call to Action). This is the way you will be generating leads. You need to tell your followers WHAT TO DO. If you don’t, most likely they won’t do anything. And below your CTA you’re going to include your link (the clickable one). Please note, that all of the links on Instagram are not clickable, and the only place where people can actually Click on it, is in your BIO. So make sure you use that space wisely and input a good capture page.
Number #2: Create a Free offer.
In order to generate leads, you need to have a Free Giveaway, something of value, a good content that will help your leads. You can create yours or you can use a system that I use – My Lead System Pro, they have already created it for you, so you don’t have to worry about anything (and btw, they also teach you how to market the right way). On Instagram it is better if you have an Instagram related training as your lead magnet (free offer), because if you have a Facebook training on Instagram, it just doesn’t make sense. Number #3: Content is King.
If you’re a serious marketer, you should know that network marketing is not about pitching your products or opportunity, it’s about creating relationships with people and providing them with value. Value is always the Content that you create. The more good content you create, the more people you will attract. It is that simple. You should always give something to get something. If you don’t create value driven content on Instagram, then you’re not marketing, you’re just playing around. So now you have a clear blueprint of what is it that you need to do before starting to market on Instagram, I really hope you’ve got value out of these three tips, but I also created one BONUS tip for you, that you’re going to love. Here it is…
BONUS Number #4: Find and connect with people.
As I mentioned earlier, network marketing is a relationship type of business, so you definitely wanna connect with people and develop relationships, build trust and credibility BEFORE offering them your business. If you start with business, you’re never going to build it right. So what you wanna do on Instagram, is go to Search bar and look for people through Hashtags (e.g. network marketing, mlm, companies’ names), like their pictures and leave comments. Most likely they will come back to your page and check out what it is that you’re doing out there. And if someone comments on your images and videos, be sure to reply them with their @username, so that way they will be notified about your comment. Social media, and especially Instagram, is about reciprocation. So be reciprocate, get involved in the conversations and have fun!
